A public organization created to
study and popularize the past and the present of the Jewish community of
Ukraine. The Institute specializes in research in Ukrainian Jewish history and
culture and the coordination of activities of researchers in this field.
Genealogy
BLITZ
works with the historic archives in
St. Petersburg and
Moscow as well as local regional archives
throughout the former
Soviet Union to provide information and
genealogy research, St. Petersburg,
Russia as well as
California,
USA. All research
is done out of the
St. Petersburg office. The
California office stays in touch
with all clients throughout research phases and handles client payments for the
work.

Established in 1994 to study,
research, inventory and document Jewish material, archives and Judaica in
Eastern European archives; foster and promote the study and preservation of
Jewish genealogical material; assemble, catalogue, publish and disseminate
information from research and study of Jewish materials; compile, maintain and
update library and/or archive of collections of Jewish historical, cultural and
genealogical information; and sponsor educational
lectures and seminars.
